From 2007 to 2019, Hadi A. Tandawardaja taught as a visiting lecturer at the University of Stuttgart and the Hochschule für Gestaltung Schwäbisch Gmünd, including at the chairs of Prof. Arno Lederer and Prof. Markus Allmann.

He also serves as a specialist juror in international competitions.
